EARLY SUMMER:
- Prune spring flowering shrubs such as Forsythia.
- Apply grub preventor to lawns
- Mow grass at a height of 3-3 ½” to help protect from summer stress. Keep blades sharp!
- Monitor for pests — insects, weeds, and diseases, and treat accordingly.
- Weed beds
- Fertilize annuals
MID – LATE SUMMER:
- Tip prune new growth on shrubs.
- Continue mowing lawn high — 3-3 ½”
- Continue monitoring for lawn and landscape pests
- Water lawns to keep them green. Grass needs 1” of water per week to stay green.
- Water infrequently (2-3 times a week) for long intervals (45 minutes)
- Weed beds
